A few words

About Us

Through Methsewa, we bring light and love into lives that need it most.

We need to reshape our own perception of how we view ourselves. We have to step up as women and take the lead.

🌼 About Us – Methsewa Foundation

Methsewa Foundation is a compassionate, non-profit, volunteer-based organization established in 2012 in Sri Lanka, with official government registration. Our mission is rooted in service, dignity, and love β€” dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with special needs, including those with physical, intellectual, sensory, or multiple disabilities.

We are more than a care center β€” we are a home, a family, and a voice for those often unheard.

🌟 Who We Serve

We serve vulnerable individuals, especially:

  • Children with physical and intellectual disabilities

  • Adults with long-term or severe impairments

  • Families struggling to care for their differently-abled loved ones

  • Low-income households with special needs members

πŸ’š What Makes Us Different

At Methsewa Foundation, each person is treated with love, not labels. We tailor care and programs to individual needs and abilities, recognizing that disability is not inability. Our inclusive approach combines emotional support with practical care β€” so everyone can lead a life of dignity and purpose.

  • Inclusion is a right, not a privilege

  • Love and dignity must be at the heart of care

  • Empowerment leads to transformation

πŸ“’ Our Call to Action

There are still many individuals and families suffering in silence β€” isolated, unsupported, and marginalized. We exist to bring light, care, and hope into their lives.

By working together β€” with communities, donors, and volunteers β€” we aim to build a Sri Lanka where every differently-abled person is seen, heard, and supported.
